    Frequently Asked Question:

  • 'What is the difference between N95 and KN95 masks?'

  • N95 masks are the US standards for respirator masks, whereas KN95 is designated for the Chinese standard of the same thing.  In most ways, the two masks are equivalent with regard to the features that the majority of end users care about.  For the purposes of labeling N95, manufacturers must first meet strict labeling rules set by the US NIOSH.  According to 3M, “it is reasonable to consider” China’s KN95s “equivalent” to US N95s.
